No-Sew Felt Food Fun!

My kids LOVE to play kitchen! They had kitchens in every home they ever spent the night in  (Our home, Nana and Grandpa, Great Grandpa...on and on) and now that they are bigger, they still love playing kitchen, but on a larger scale! Hahaha!! They love creating sets and scenes and it's so easy to do when I just get them started with a template! They are moving on to sewing, but for my youngest, the No-Sew versions are perfect for him to get involved! Eggs are so easy just using felt, scissors and a glue stick! Cut out the shape you need and cut out multiples, then add the yolk in the center with a glue stick! So simple and when paired with their crackable eggs, the yolk looks sooo cool!

Tea parties are often had and tea bags were a must! a felt template was all they needed and they were off! Scissors cut the shape and small hole at the top and then yarn made the dangle on the end. They had so much fun picking out all the colors. My daughter and older son proceeded to sew the word TEA on each bag! I will have to share the photos on those tomorrow as they took off with them straight away to the play room!

Cookies!!! 2 different sized circles and then save all the scraps and cut them down to confetti sized strips! PERFECTO!
Remember my friends, to enjoy every minute!!

Recycle and Make New!

Do you have chunky puzzle pieces or even worse...board books that have seen better days? Are the pages tearing out, missing pieces or just ready to go to that great book heaven out there? Give them new life by salvaging all the can be saved and punch holes in them all around the edge to make Lacing Cards! Add a shoe lace and pop them into a pencil pouch and you have a busy bag! If you don't have any shoelaces, use string and tape the ends to make a "needle" and you are all set! Want to get even more involved? Pick up wood spools from any craft store and wind your laces around them for a mini 'sewing kit'!
If you are new here, we are on our way to Disney World and I am making the Littles Epcot Passports and adding 1 page a day. Page 2 has been added HERE and there are plenty more to come. I will post a link to print all pages when the passport is complete! Take a look and remember when you hover over a photo on my blog, you can pin it easily to pinterest!

Remember to enjoy every minute, but to also take time to do some good in the world!

Disney World Epcot Passport

We are on our way to Disney World soon and there are many way I plan on making this a learning vacation along with bringing along their school work. One thing I am working on is Passports for them to have stamped as we go around the World Showcase. Yes, Disney does sell one of these, but we have purchased one on a previous trip and already done this. Now I want them to learn as they go around and have them stamped! This blog page will be updated as I do each page.
I started by buying these blank passports, I had to buy them in bulk so if you are interested I have extras for $3.00 and that includes postage to US addresses. Just send me an email. (They will be blank!)

Mexico is up first!

This is what I have so far! Page 3 will be added next! Once they finish reading the passport and filling out the activity, they will then head to get it stamped!
Here is page 3! This one includes a cutting and pasting exercise with the Chinese flag. The kids look over my shoulder every now and then and want me to print the pages now so that they can get to work! I am glad to know they are excited to learn!
Page 4 is Germany! The kids keep trying to sneak a peek at my blog to see the passports, but I am not letting them see!! They are so excited and truth be told? So am I!!! Up next will be Italy!

Enjoy every minute my friends!

Read it & Write it, Count it & Learn it!

A new worksheet I created is perfect for beginning readers but also for spelling practice!! Use with ready made flashcards for the beginning reader or create your own for a child with a spelling test! Slip into a protective plastic sheet and you are ready to roll. #1 Place the first word in the Read-it section and have the student sound it out. Next have letter tiles ready to go and have the student spell out the word. Searching for EACH letter tile on their own helps them memorize the spelling, because they keep repeating the letter they are looking for until the find it. Step #3 is Write-It, using a dry erase  marker have your little write the spelling of the word! Get it here!
Get the cargo on the train! Using small wood squares from the hobby store, have your little one count to 50 by loading the luggage on the train! This page prints pretty light, for extra learning, I had my son use a black marker over each number to darken it but to also work on it! Print it out HERE!
Re-purpose old games for new uses! This AWESOME game of Guess Who is fun in it's original style but use it to learn something new! This one is the start of our Guess Who Catholic Saints edition from Arma Dei that we printed out. Get creative and you will find that any game can be used for fun teaching purposes!

Enjoy every minute my friends!

Classroom Cool!

Hello readers! Let me once again apologize for leaving again! It has been a summer of loss, love, sickness, health and so much more. I cannot believe all we have been through, but I hope the worst is behind us. We are starting our new school year and wanted to share some fun stuff that we have done or found! Kohl's Cares has Mercer Mayer Little Critter books for 5.00!! We are in heaven as my kids adore these books, no matter how old they get!!

This simple robe hook holds our charts and tables that we have in page protectors and on binder rings. When needed, they can all be found here!

We are starting our penpal fun as well and everything is in one central location! Envelopes, addresses, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue, scissors, crazy scissors, stickers and so much goodness all in one spot! Each child has a binder that holds their paper and more page protectors hold old letters and envelopes in one place!

Washi tape is perfect for decorating half a water bottle that has now become a pencil cup! We also decorated plain and cheap folders to be more custom and fun.

We are IN LOVE with our Liturgical Calendar that we ordered from Illuminated Ink! It is a great thing that we can all work on together and learn at the same time! I will be giving this it's own blog post in the near future!
We are also in the process of preparing our final First Communicant! Creating a Mass Kit has been a fun process that I will share with you as well!
I have also been working on some prayer coloring pages for my youngest to memorize prayers in a fun way! These will be shared at a later date as well!
Enjoy every minute my friends!
