Au Revoir Paris et Buongiorno Italia!

After a fantastic week in the UK and France, we are on our 1 hour and 10 minute flight to Italy! What amazing things we were able to accomplish everywhere! We studied the castles of France and even recreated our own at the museum!
After visiting Giverny, we decided to make our own works of art in the style of Monet! This was so much fun and the best part was that they still talk about Monet!
After exploring London by bus and foot, we stopped for some fish and chips! The kids were delighted to see them packaged this way (lined in foil!). It is amazing for them to help in the kitchen so much!

We even made chocolate croissants in France, these were gone so fast that mommy didn't even get to try one! Hmm, that could be because Daddy was home when they came out of the oven! haha!
We had a blast recreating Big Ben out of blocks and realized that if this was so much fun, we should try and recreate other landmarks that we would normally see!
We made a huge floor sized map of London and then looked up to see what the popular double decker bus tours would see and recreated the tour! There is Big Ben out of legos, complete with LEGO people, the Thames River, London Bridge, Stonehenge (90 miles outside of London) and the like. The kids had so much fun with this that it is still on the playroom floor!
We are doing a Make Your Own Pizza bar for our food in Italy and will most likely do a pasta plate of some sort as well! We plan on learning more on Leonardo Da Vinci and then heading over to take a boat ride of Venice! We are in the process of reading Romeo and Juliet and will watch Gnomeo and Juliet too!

We will also be making our own Leaning Tower of Pisa out of milk caps and several other landmarks if time allows! On Wednesday we will be off to Greece and I will share our projects then! Enjoy our Virtual Vacation!
